Classification

Ogden

  • Type I: elevation of distal part of tuberosity
      • IA: minor anterior separation
      • IB: separated from metaphysis &/or epiphysis
  • Type II: separation of fragment from metaphysis & remainder of epiphysis
      • (intra-articular extension)
      • IIA: tuberosity separated & anteriorly angulated
      • IIB: tuberosity separated, anteriorly angulated & fragmented
  • Type III: major separation of fragment with intra-articular displacement
      • IIIA: fragment is unitary
      • IIIB: fragment is comminuted
